Our commitment to low-impact eco-tourism is central to enhancing our guest experience while advancing our sustainability goals for both today and future generations.
Forget 2035… we are guided by our 100-year strategy, where we have embraced our role as custodians of this stunning 400m ocean front, which is home to a large Kelp Forest, growing along the entire southeast boundary. To preserve this Kelp Forest, we have banned all chemicals or harmful substances on the property.
Since 2015, we have been dedicated to creating habitats for the Swift Parrot and other local wildlife.

Little Beach Co. Resort Are Committed
We prioritize recycling and waste management, ensuring that nearly all waste from our kitchen is recycled or composted. Our guests are encouraged to participate, and we creatively repurpose items like glass jars for jams.
We combat invasive weeds through sustainable practices, using cardboard from our kitchen topped with mulch sourced locally. This method enriches the soil while managing weeds effectively. We have planted over 1680 plants to encourage habitat, weed reduction and rejuvenation of this ex-sheep farming land.
Rainwater harvesting is a key practice, minimizing the need for deliveries that increase our carbon footprint. Our facilities include 5-minute shower timers to encourage mindful water use.
Our villas feature double insulation and are equipped with wood heaters and heat pumps, significantly reducing energy consumption. We also utilize sustainably sourced wood for heating and hot tubs, alongside electric vehicles for resort operations, complemented by an EV charger for guests.
Our on-site laundry service eliminates long-distance transport, using environmentally friendly soaps that are treated responsibly through our sewage system.
We grow a variety of fresh, organic produce on-site, reducing our carbon footprint related to food transport while providing our kitchen with quality ingredients. We create our own compost from the kitchen which replenishes our garden beds.
Educating our guests about sustainable practices is vital to us. We share our eco-friendly initiatives and encourage participation, fostering a community dedicated to sustainability.

There aren’t really any words for our stay except it was absolutely perfect. Our villa was divine, it had everything we needed and more. The bed was luxurious and extremely comfortable. We woke in the morning to sit and watch whales pass by in front of us. We sat in the wood fired hot tub in the afternoon listening to the birds and the waves. Lynne and Paul are the most wonderful hosts with amazing staff. I can’t recommend Little Beach Co Glamping more highly and absolutely can’t wait to return.
Fabulous location and amenities. We stayed in a cabin with a hot tub which was awesome. We were fortunate to be the only people there for our 2 nights, but even if it was full it would still be quiet and tranquil, with ample space between the cabins.
What an incredibly unique and gorgeous place to stay! We stayed in the glamping tent and slept so soundly, you can hear the waves crashing in the distance and you fall asleep. The shared lodge space is great. We really enjoyed breakfast (incredible oats/porridge that Lynn prepared for us!!) and we ordered the DIY BBQ which was delicious. We also enjoyed interacting with other guests in the shared space. Both nights we spent the evening chatting to other couples which was really nice. It’s also very close to Bicheno and so we spent our first day exploring wine glass bay and then spent the rest of the day enjoying the beautiful coastline of Bicheno. Definitely worth staying here and enjoying the east coast!
